The  13U  Volleyball Program is ideal for boys and girls in Grades 7 who want to learn to play volleyball.
It is the second stage of the grassroots program. These sessions are designed to have a 2 hour skill session. Each week the athletes are taught basic FUNdamental skills followed by "triple ball" game play. The U13Volleyball Program stresses FUN, FAIRPLAY, and PARTICIPATION by increasing the number of ball contacts per player, creating longer and more successful rallies, and by developing proper skill delivery. The U13 Winter Volleyball Program is the next stage of the grassroots program (after the Square 1 Volleyball Program) offered by Heat Yukon VC  by which athletes:

• Learn the basic skills of volleyball.
• Practice the skills through game play.
• Use the TRIPLE BALL format to learn game play.

Equipment is designed for grade 7 boys and girls and the requirements of their growing bodies. The game is played using lighter and softer balls on a regular sized court with 6 players per side, however using the "Triple Ball" format gives the athletes good opportunity to play the ball and have success. 
The U13 Volleyball Program provides a background for athletes to continue to play in future in their High School and Club programs.
